I've heard Rabbi Schwartz talk about Yonadav (for those who don't know, he's Amnon's friend in Shmuel Bet, Chapter 13). Obviously the simple explanation is that he's evil, and advises Amnon how to get Tamar alone with him. But Rabbi Schwartz points out there's another way of looking at it. Yonadav is the only person in the entire Tanach who is called an "Ish Chacham Meod." According to this second explanation, he was wise, and he was advising Amnon to have Tamar serve him food in order to get Amnon to see Tamar in a sisterly manner. That's why he tells him Tamar should make the food in front of him. He was hoping that would help Amnon see Tamar only as a sister, and help him to conquer his desire.
