"Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night." - Edgar Allan Poe
The Ponovezher Rav came to Bnai Brak a few years after WWII, to an empty land (it had not yet been settled). He looked at the terrain that seemed so barren, and called out excitedly, "Here will be a kollel! And here will be a yeshiva! And here we'll have..."The people who had joined him raised their eyebrows at him. "What are you talking about? There's nothing here. Look at what you had in Europe and lost! You had so many talmidim, a beautiful family, the seforim you wrote--all up in smoke! You think you can start that again?! You're dreaming!!"The Ponovezher Rav looked at the person who had commented to him and said: "I might be dreaming. But my eyes are open."
anon 1:22, get a life, you petty little thing!
"at least im not an angry bitch"replied the man."At least I have a life and don't feel the need to bother other people when I'm bored," I responded sweetly.
Dear Chana,Just for the record Anon 1:22 was not me. If I remember correctly from your poll you have a potential of 75 'anonymous' people reading your blog. When I saw the comment by Anon 1:22 I knew you would think it was me but it wasn't, I promise, you have other fans also. I do have an alibi and if I ever needed to prove it I can. I was not surpised to see the additional comment by Anon 3:40 on 9/26.I am sorry about the past and please know that I have not made any comments on your blog in months except for this one and the one on 9/21 9:03.As for the comment of 'chicken' I wish to address it:1. The 7 degrees of charity by RAMBAM.2. Yes, I am chicken because you don't understand me and your reactions to me have reflected the fact that you don't understand me.Let's leave it there. All this negativity has really harmed me.I care for you and I wish you well.
