Three Questions

Three Questions:

1. What holds value for you? Where do you find meaning? (I know it's a broad question. Any answer is fine: it could be something as simple as the touch of a child's hand on your face or something as large as religion or politics.)

2. What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

3. If God could grant you one request, what would you ask for? Only one, mind you. Which means you cannot ask for fame, fortune, health, happiness as one thing. Only one thing. (This is not necessarily synonymous with what you want most, incidentally.)

1. Oh gosh. Honestly, I don't think I've had enough life experiences yet to be able to really answer this one. I guess at this stage in my life, I find meaning in my family.

2. Fly. Like Peter Pan.

3. Oh gosh, I'm not going to be Miss America here and ask for world peace. I guess I'd say, magic powers. I'm totally going to have fun with this. =D

thinking about it I'm totaly torn between "let no bad happen" and a request that perhaps is a bit to near my heart to voice publicaly. Decisions decisions.

and I still don't know about number two. If I couldn't fail? maybe find my besheret, but who knows? way to much material there.

1. My identity (being Jewish, which is many different things, and sometimes a bit of a paradox.)

2. I'd do whatever it is I would normally do... failure for me, means giving up... so even I didn't succeed immediately, I wouldn't fail, because I wouldn't give up, I'd try a different path.

3. Ability to see the difference between what's trivial and what's important in life.

I find the greatest meaning in Children. There is nothing more meaningful in life then them, even more so then God himself perhaps.

I would ask God for a time machine. I am sure you know the reason for it.

1. In helping others - feeling like I actually make a difference in someone's life, even if it's a small thing.

2. Fly. (Oops, I just noticed that I was a copy cat. Too bad.)

3. To be closer with my family.

1. Spiritual warmth, something that most people are not willing to generate because they are distracted on mundane things. I could add simplicity, love, family, moral hygene, and of course personal prayer.

2. I don't need to be guaranteed success in order to do what I want to do or to do what I feel is right. It is hope, will, and faith that motivates me to do things, many of which I have completely failed at. What is success and what is failure? These are external values, not spiritual values.

3. I pray with all my heart to find eternal light, that it will guide me to find, encounter, and to know my friend for life. Eternally and on earth may we united, together as one, with love in the world of light. Amen.

1- Sincerity holds value for me.

I find meaning in connection with people, G-d and in the ability to contribute.

2- Keep my house tidy and organized forever.
And learn to ice skate and roller blade well.
(these are things that came to mind first.. although it would be exciting to brainstorm and come up with more wonderful ideas!)

3- For a natural positive awareness – (noticing and appreciating every bit of good around me)

And I must put one more thing here..
An absolutely perfectly idyllic marriage in every fathomable way.

Both are terribly important.
If I would have to choose, it would be number 2.
(again.. these are my immediate thoughts… I have not probed more deeply – yet they are not superficial answers)

1. What holds value for you? Where do you find meaning?

The area that G-d gave for me (and me only) to make a difference. Doing things only I can do.

2. What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

Bring redemption to the world quicker.

3. If God could grant you one request, what would you ask for?

I'd ask to help give me more strength to be the man I want to be.
