Credo of Uncle Akiva in the Irgun

This is an awesome quote from the film version of Exodus (which stars a highly uncompelling Kitty, sadly.)

~

May I tell you something?
Firstly...
...justice itself is an abstraction...
...completely devoid of reality.
Second, to speak of justice and Jews in the same breath...
...is a logical uncertainty.
Thirdly...
...one can argue the justice of Arab claims on Palestine...
...just as one can argue the justice of Jewish claims.
Fourthly...
...no one can say the Jews have not had...
...more than their share of injustice these past years.
I therefore say, fifthly...
...Let the next injustice work against somebody else for a change.

FWIW the prison break at Acco was done by the Irgun and I doubt that Menachem Begin would have uttered anything close to what "uncle Akiva" said. But Sal Mineo was definitely cute in Sabra shorts :-)

I hate to disagree but the first thing you said i don't believe is true justice must be reality if justice isn't reality than why bother doing proper things although it may be somewhat devoid it can't be a full amount devoid because what is just is what feels right going against the pressures of society as a whole pure
