Looking for God in humanity.
There was no need for them to travel. God told them what would happen, so they didn't doubt that it would. As for warning about specific action, they did that.
ok... so like Time Lords?
If somebody is a time traveler he or she would not need prophecy. And if somebody is a prophet they wouldn't need a time machine. And the truth is that if we had time travelers with cameras then nobody would deserve much credit for being a believer. After all, we would have Kriyas Yam-suf and the giving of the Torah on You-Tube.
why would they need to be a time traveler if they are a prophet and know what will be???
What about the issue of crossing their own time stream? This is a significant problem, especially for time lords who are often flitting around time.Anon613-London
It doesn't always work anyway. Most time travellers are coming from the dystopic future trying to prevent it from occurring. While they may save the timeline they travel back to, their own timeline is still entirely messed up. Though I kind of agree that nevi'im don't need it, I can imagine that the vividness of their visions was almost akin to doing something like what you're suggesting.
That's what we do in chinuch in reverse. We travel from the past and try to warn those from the future about what will happen.
