How you have the time to maintain this blog with our SCW dual-curricula is beyond me! I guess it is a passion of yours...anyway, this piece about your friend is beautiful and a little mysterious. This guy sounds a lot like a guy I know, a secret admiree of mine, you might say. Anyway, you say you aren't interested in him THAT way, but I do hope that you get to know him better...and by all means, if you don't want him, spread the wealth.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12970718.post-80226241429504040022007-04-29T16:12:00.000-04:002007-04-29T16:12:00.000-04:00What a beautiful tribute it is...Chana once again ...What a beautiful tribute it is...Chana once again well done:)Miriamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18409262703978144368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12970718.post-45437586162647289232007-04-29T10:29:00.000-04:002007-04-29T10:29:00.000-04:00Dear my readers,To assuage the concerns of those c...Dear my readers,

To assuage the concerns of those close to me who worry about how some will interpret this post, I want to explain that it is meant only insofar as I respect my friend and would like to give him a "gift," as it were.

Some people bake amazing cakes, so they give their friends cakes. Some people are divine singers, so they will compose songs. My talent is for words, hence I write tributes.

I have always thought that it is a sad thing to praise people after they are dead, because even if theoretically the soul listens, the person himself/ herself doesn't know how appreciated they are. Far better to let the person know while they are alive how well you think of them. And if you would eulogize someone in a public forum, how much the more so should one praise or write a tribute to a living person in a public forum.

So I hope you will think of your own friends, and anyone who has bee kind to you, and remember to thank them now, today, while they can hear you...and not wait till it is too late.Chanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17655144434904957767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12970718.post-30956164394568595602007-04-29T10:15:00.000-04:002007-04-29T10:15:00.000-04:00Oh, I want to meet him. There's always a way to keep up with a close friend, especially someone like this.Moshehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11651270601906886319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12970718.post-19734644553616044292007-04-28T23:45:00.000-04:002007-04-28T23:45:00.000-04:00I want to meet him. Your friend sounds very nice, and incredibly - almost impossibly - impressive. :)Ezziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12494592434522239195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12970718.post-25521991332757091712007-04-28T23:02:00.000-04:002007-04-28T23:02:00.000-04:00Why on earth do you believe you have to give him u...Why on earth do you believe you have to give him up as a friend once he moves on? True friends can remain so over long distances and over long periods. Phone and email can help you catch up and there is no harm in getting together for coffee.

I have noticed that many people give up their friends of the opposite sex when they get married. I think this is a terrible shame and unnecessary. If your mate trusts you and you trust yourself, you should be above reproach. And if this person is has such a positive impact on you, why lose that?

Consider yourself blessed to have such a person in your life.

Of course, the real question should be, "Why don't you ask him out?"smoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16540322073693784985noreply@blogger.com
